Week Three
I just got back from Romania with so much to share with all of you! First let's re-cap the week before I left. I've just got a couple of things to share and then we'll get on to the interesting stuff (I hope).
On Tuesday I hiked up to the Liberty Statue in Buda with Alexis and Neal, two US students in my program. It's on a hill that overlooks all of Pest. It's a gorgeous view, especially at sunset.
And since we had nothing planned, we decided to do a bit of exploring for the evening. We took the tram until it ended and wound up at an OBI (Sort of like Home Depot)

Pest, from Buda
Looking over at the park on the hill
And it had an escalator! So you can imagine we rode it a few times :)
We kept wandering and found the big sparkly-color-changing building we saw on the river cruise. Turns out it's a really fancy Orchestra hall.
And later on in the week I found mayonnaise. Lot's of pastes can be found in tubes around here .
And I got my first homework assignment this week -from microeconomics unsurprisingly.
And look how organized my paper is. I was very impressed with myself. End of week 3. I can't believe I've been here almost a month. The craziness of what I signed myself up for is starting to sink in. More to come shortly!
