First Day of School
So it's been a few days since the last post and I can tell you that pictures are going to become less frequent as more and more of a routine is established for me. But I tell you what's been happening for the past few days!
On Saturday evening we cooked our first homemade dinner! We finally got around to using the noodles and vegetables we had bought and made ourselves a nice little pasta dinner.
On Sunday we took it easy. I slept in and doodled and later that evening we took a casual walk around Buda to enjoy our last moments of summer.
And we ran into a book festival! It was a magical moment to witness. We didn't know what we were stumbling into at first, but there were all these stalls and booths out displaying all kinds of books and reading materials. It was mostly children's stories and old literature, but I still appreciated the beauty of it all.
And then we started school! I had my first classes in Hungary on Monday, and I'd say they went pretty well. I'm a little scared for economics and there seems to be a lot of material covered in my history class, so hopefully I'll be able to keep up! But my web development class seems cool. We got straight to making webpages within the first hour, which was kind of exciting. The hands-on learning environment is an appreciated change of pace from the lectures in the others. I'll be sure to give a more-in depth report on school, once I've had all my classes so stay tuned!
Thanks for reading,
