The Lizards Get Their Own Page. Because I Said So.

Base camp had no shortage of wildlife. Most were unpleasant like chickens and sandflies, but some were quite fun to have around, like geckos and iguanas, and crabs...so long as you don't step on them.

So I've dedicated this page to the wish willies of base, because they just need they're own page.

Girl look at that body.

I thought it was tremendous fun having all the iguanas around base.

Wouldn't you love waking up to this face in the morning?

He thinks he's blending in, but he's not.

In addition to iguanas we had plenty of anoles and geckos running around too. These were much smaller and harder to photograph, but here's two I managed to snag.

Look at the wee baby anole. So cute!

And don't forget about the geckos, they made their presence known, but rarely seen. You ever heard a gecko mating call? Me neither, but it is astonishingly similar to a rusty door hinge...but louder.
