A Squishy Duck
Saturday was a bunch of odds and ends as we each made one request for the day, and then our goal was to make everyone's request. First, mom wanted to visit Chinatown, which we had tried to visit yesterday, and failed.
But not today!
Homemade coconut cake. Ugh, so good.
We haggled, we ate coconut cake, we bought nail polish remover.
Our second request was a return to central market for more batik. Let's go!
We found some cool stuff on the way
New shades, same crew
We were able to satisfy our batikking needs (batikking, I don't think that's a word)
And since we were here anyways, dad's request was to have some more ice cream ribbon.
Chocolate edition
For lunch we found the beef noodle house Ruth recommended we visit yesterday for lunch, but since we didn't seem to find a lot of things yesterday, we found it today instead.
I'd rate this as the second or third best dish I had here. It was so tasty and brothy. Mmm.
Mom vs. the never-ending noodles
Our third request by me and Amanda was to stop by the park by the Petronas towers.
So here we are.
...so cute
I'm a bug
My one and only request was to return to Domesky so that I could get my squishy duck.
The only thing I'd been talking about for days
Look at him adjusting to his new home.
And that wrapped up our last day in Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysia. Saturday was a little anti-climatic after the jammed pack week we had, but it was nice to tie up the little odds and ends we wanted to do and see. All in all, it was an amazing adventure, and yes I would go back in a heartbeat. Totally worth the two days of traveling it takes to get there.
Thank you everyone for reading. I know I'm kind of back-filling my last couple of trips, but stay tuned. More is coming! (Like Belize, in July)
Rock on y'all
-Natalie
