WITWINS: Christmas Edition

As it's the Christmas season, I feel it's only fair I share some of Budapest's holiday spirit with all of you. So without further delay, welcome to Where in the World is Natalie Suderman: Christmas edition. Note: This post is dedicated to Hannah Carey. If you are not Hannah Carey, well then that's a bonus. Here we go! To start we've got the lights at Oktogon: Next, the Christmas stalls of Deak Ferenc Ter, and Vorosmarty Ter. I've done more than my fair share of browsing these stalls. There's so much to see and smell and marvel at! Our first sighting of a Christmas tree Next, there's the market at St. Istvan's Basilica. This one is the closest one to where I live, which is only a block away.  It's also got the best smelling food. And here's my street being festive! Wednesday Family Dinner

Hey guys, sorry it's been so long since I've posted. But let's get to it. Neal, Jonathon, Maia, Valarie and I formed a sort of dinner group tradition. Each week on Wednesday we get together and cook up yummy Hungarian food. Using Neal's Hungarian cookbook we've really ben able to sample the flavors of Hungary for ourselves as well as enjoy good food and good company. This weekly tradition has sort been unofficially dubbed Wednesday Family Dinners. So here today I'm going to share with you all the things we've made. It's a lot of looking into pots, though. These are mostly in chronological order but some of the meals I didn't take pictures of, so this is what I got. To start, the second week I joined (Maia and Jon and Neal had cooked the week before that) we made bean casserole.
